Final Fantasy I-VI Collection Anniversary Edition just dropped to its lowest price ever

That's a better price than Black Friday.

The Final Fantasy I-VI Collection Anniversary Edition has dropped to its lowest price yet, now sitting at $49.99 on Amazon. That’s an even better deal than what I saw over Black Friday.

The discount is available for both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 (and fully playable on PS5), this collection brings together the first six mainline Final Fantasy games in their remastered form.

Unlike some of Square Enix’s more drastic overhauls, these versions retain their original pixel aesthetic but have been cleaned up for modern displays, looking sharp whether on a TV or in handheld mode. The soundtrack has also been given an orchestral upgrade, with Nobuo Uematsu himself overseeing the new arrangements. For those who want to tweak their experience, options to disable random encounters and increase experience and gil gains make these RPG classics a little more accessible without losing their original charm.

If you’re into collectibles, this physical edition is the only one available, and it even comes with a sticker sheet featuring 12 character sprites from the series, including Terra, Kain, a Moogle, and a laughing Kefka. It’s not much, but I think it’s a neat little bonus.

At its original $74.99 price, this collection wasn't as appealing in my honest opinion, but now it’s a much more tempting way to revisit—or experience for the first time—the origins of one of gaming’s most iconic RPG franchises. I've already made my purchase, and with no other physical editions available, I’d say it’s worth grabbing while it’s still around.
