Pokemon TCG Pocket once again has the public going wild for collecting Pokemon cards, and the hunt for the rarest and best cards to build decks with or show off is well underway. While you can tell how rare a card is based on the rarity score it is given — diamonds, stars, or a golden crown — it’s useful to know exactly which cards to look out for.

Pokemon TCG Pocket’s rarest cards are often gold, shiny, and featuring full art, so it’s easy enough to identify if you’ve acquired a good pull or not, but which of those cards is the rarest you can get your hands on? In this guide, we detail Pokemon TCG Pocket’s rarest cards so far.


Pokemon TCG Pocket’s rarest cards

Below, we’ve listed the rarest cards you can currently acquire in Pokemon TCG Pocket. Given that all three Genetic Apex booster packs include different cards, we have organized these cards based on which booster pack you’ll need to open to acquire them.

We've also included the game's first mini-set, Mythical Island, and Sinnoh-themed set, Space-Time Smackdown and their rarest cards on this page.


Pokemon TCG Pocket Genetic Apex Mewtwo rarest cards

The three rarest cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket's Genetic Apex set can be acquired from all three of the associated booster packs. These are as follows:

  1. Gold Secret Rare Charizard ex
  2. Gold Secret Rare Mewtwo ex
  3. Gold Secret Rare Pikachu ex

All three cards have a 0.04% chance to be the fourth card in your booster pack, or a 0.16% chance to be the fifth card.

The rarest cards you can get from the Genetic Apex Mewtwo booster pack in Pokemon TCG Pocket are as follows:

  1. Secret Rare Mewtwo ex - 0.2% inclusion (4th card), 0.8% inclusion (5th card)
  2. Full Art Gengar ex

Triumphant Light rarest cards

The two rarest cards you can get from the Triumphant Light booster pack in Pokemon TCG Pocket are as follows:

  • Arceus ex (Golden Rare) - 0.040% Inclusion (4th Card), 0.16% (5th Card)
  • Arceus ex (Immersive) - 0.222% Inclusion (4th Card), 0.888% (5th Card)

Shining Revelry rarest cards

The two rarest cards featured in the Shining Revelry booster pack in Pokemon TCG Pocket are as follows:

  • Golden Rare Poke Ball - 0.040% inclusion rate (4th card), 0.160% (5th card)
  • Immersive Giratina ex - 0.222% inclusion rate (4th card), 0.888% (5th card)

As well as the above two cards, however, Shining Revelry has introduced rare shiny cards - a whole new rarity - in Pokemon TCG Pocket. These cards have a distinct sparkle and feature Pokemon with different colour variations, and is stands, they are rarer than Full Art EX cards (including rainbow-bordered cards) and Full Art Rare cards.

The below shiny cards have a 0.333% inclusion rate as the 4th card and a 1.333% inclusion rate as the 5th card.

The two rarest cards in the Celestial Guardians Solgaleo booster pack in Pokemon TCG Pocket have a 0.40% inclusion rate as your 4th card and a 0.16% inclusion rate as your 5th card. These are as follows:

  • Golden Rare Lunala ex

You'll also want to look out for Lunala's netx rarest card, which is one of the first Immersive Trainer Cards in the game. It is one of two being introduced in this set, and has an inclusion rate of 0.222% as your 4th card, and 0.888% as your 5th card:

Celestial Guardians Lunala rarest cards

The two rarest cards in the Celestial Guardians Lunala booster pack in Pokemon TCG Pocket are actually the same as the Solgaleo booster pack shown above: Golden Rare Lunala ex and Golden Rare Solgaleo ex.

On top of that, you'll also want to keep your eyes peeled for the pack's second Immersive card, which is the Immersive Rare Guzma. He has the same inclusion rates as the Solgaleo pack's Immersive Rare Lillie.

After the Golden Rare and Immersive cards included in the pack, the next rarest cards are Shiny cards, then Full Art cards.
